چکیده
Highlights TST and IGRA have a significant correlation with the diagnosis of patients Tuberculous Spondylitis. Various factors may affect results IGRA. Thus, use can be adjusted according to condition hospital, availability diagnostic tools, health worker’s physical examination results, patient's medical history. Abstract Background: spondylitis or Pott’s disease is extrapulmonary tuberculosis that still concern workers because broad spectrum its clinical symptoms. Delay in very common this disease. Therefore, tool needs thoroughly reviewed determine effectiveness. The tools studied study were Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) Interferon-γ Release Assay (IGRA). Objective: To analyze role as for tuberculous spondylitis. Material Method: This used systematic review method topic-related kinds literature written English Indonesian found on PubMed, Scopus, ProQuest, Web Science databases. screening process was carried out based PRISMA 2020 Guidelines. Result: Sixteen types included total 116 patients. detected positive 45 (63%) negative 21 (30%) 66 51 (77%), 8 (12%), indeterminate 2 (3%) 61 Conclusion: significantly correlate Both tests are relevant patients’ backgrounds.

Evaluation of the tuberculin skin test and the interferon-γ release assay for TB screening in French healthcare workers
INTRODUCTION Using French cut-offs for the Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), results of the TST were compared with the results of an Interferon-gamma Release Assay (IGRA) in Healthcare Workers (HCW) after contact to AFB-positive TB patients. METHODS Between May 2006 and May 2007, a total of 148 HCWs of the University Hospital in Nantes, France were tested simultaneously with IGRA und TST. A TST was...
متن کاملPrevalence of latent tuberculosis infection in Sudan: a case–control study comparing interferon-γ release assay and tuberculin skin test
BACKGROUND Most people exposed to M. tuberculosis show no evidence of clinical disease. Five to 10% of individuals with latent infection progress to develop overt disease during their life time. Identification of people with latent TB infection will increase case detection rates and may dictate new treatment policies to control tuberculosis. This study aimed to determine LTBI point prevalence i...
متن کاملComparing tuberculin skin test and interferon γ release assay (T-SPOT.TB) to diagnose latent tuberculosis infection in household contacts
BACKGROUND/AIMS The tuberculin skin test (TST) and interferon γ release assay are currently used as diagnostic tools to detect latent tuberculosis (TB) infection; however, there are inconsistencies about the degree of agreement between the tests. We aimed to evaluate the concordance rate between the two tests in household contacts of a country with intermediate TB burden, where most people were...
متن کاملPerformance of interferon-γ release assay in the diagnosis of tuberculous lymphadenitis: a meta-analysis
BACKGROUND The diagnostic values of interferon-gamma release assays (IGRA) in tuberculosis (TB) vary a lot with different site of infections, with especially higher sensitivities in chronic forms of TB such as tuberculosis of the lymph node. We conducted a meta-analysis to comprehensively evaluate the overall accuracy of diagnostic IGRA for tuberculous lymphadenitis. METHODS Pubmed, Web of Sc...
